MECHANICSBURG ALLEY By Cecelia Lyden

oil/stretched canvas
8x10

Mechanicsburg, like Camp Hill , has many charming alleys--the difference is that these alleys are between buildings. Camp Hill alleys run behind and between roads. I started this painting on a paintout about 3 weeks ago, but  got ill and did not complete it till today.

Interesting mix of shapes and textures. Sorry I missed you in Camp Hill. Did see your works along with others at the temporary gallery on Market street. Hope you fully recover soon.

Hope your feeling better! What a nice painting. I like the play of sun light hitting the buildings.

I was so glad I got to see you at the Friday night reception, Cecelia. Hope you continue to get better.
I have always found the alleys of Mechanicsburg very intriguing. You have done a fantastic job on this, and I think I know exactly where it is!
