I got up early this morning hoping the weather would
be cooperative and I could do some plein air
painting, and I wasn't disappointed.
All I had to do was walk out into my own
back yard - this dwarf apple tree in full bloom
made a perfect subject for a small plein air!

Claire- how extremely beautiful! Amazing color- it's not easy to paint something like this!
Really great painting, Claire. I can just feel that breeze blowing some of those petals off the tree. Also, shows you don't have to go too far to paint plein air.
Your back yard is so unique and beautifully laid out. What a joy you must have waking up every morning to a potentially new painting. Your students must love it too!
