Black eyed Susans 9 x 12

The black-eyed susan daisy in my back yard is so full of blossoms this year! In years past, it was "just nice" and I just took a few photos of it; but this year it is absolutely gorgeous. I just had to paint it before the petals started to fall and this is one I did en plein air on Tuesday.
The flourish of buds and flowers proves at least the Daisies like the heat!

Love this gorgeous limited palette and the sense of wild abandon in the daisies!
Linda I love your floral compositions.
Limiting my palette is something I have been working on. Maybe it's a phase I'm going through...
Thank you both very much.
I love the angle on this one too. It is such a beautiful piece. Your flowers are always breathtaking.
This is the essence of Summer, Linda! Beautiful colors, and a wonderful composition make this a fantastic piece.
Thank you Claire and Kathy. We surely have had a great summer so far. And, to think...we have August yet to go!
