Liverpool Morning by Lyn O'Neal

Liverpool Morning
oil on board
6 x 8 inches
Oh what a beautiful morning! Yesterday we met along 11/15 in Liverpool. It was a breezy summer morning - much cooler than it's been - and a perfect day to be outside at the easel. The silvery hills, sky and waters of this scene were so appealing in the hazy summer atmosphere. I think everyone was inspired by this scene.

Lyn, you and Cecelia really captured the weather on Monday. Great job!

My initial reaction when I saw the title of this painting was--Who changed my title? What a kick for the 2 of us to have posted our paintings on the same day. Looks and sounds like we both had the same reaction and feeling for the scene and the whole morning. Beautiful work, Lyn.

This is positively gorgeous - splendid greens and blues, all muted by the lovely morning mist. Sure wish I could have made it.

I love seeing these two paintings next to each other on the blog. Wish I could have been there painting with everyone!

Beautiful! I can envision pulling up a lawn chair and holding onto a fishing pole, cup of coffee in the other hand!

Thanks for the comments - I wish you could have been there, too. It is fun to see each artist's interpretation of the same scene.
