DOWNTOWN ANNAPOLIS, READY FOR THE 4TH By Cecelia Lyden

It's always fun to visit downtown Annapolis. The flags were everywhere. They looked beautiful, blowing in the breeze. The tower of St. Anne's Parrish was silhouetted against the hazy summer sky. Even though it is almost always crowded, the shops, restaurants and view are worth the hassle. This day we found a parking space right in front of the shops.

Absolutely wonderful piece Cecelia. I will be hanging the Patriotic Show today and tomorrow. Hope to see you on Friday at the reception.

Annapolis panache
Flags flying high
People with cash
Mad money they've stashed
For a time such as this
To purchase their bliss
