Hey all, this is a plein air in pastel that I didn't get to complete in time for the Gettysburg Festival this year. The Bushman Farm is visible from one of the stops along the auto tour of the Gettysburg National Military Park. It's got wonderful stonework. There's been so very much to do lately, and so little time to do it! Once my show is hung this week at Gunnar Galleries (in the Sewing Factory, Fourth St. in Gettysburg) I hope to get back to some of the painting projects I've been looking forward to. It's a wonder to me how you can accomplish such fine detail with pastels. I was all thumbs when I used pastels, even when I used the pastel pencils. Also, I love the tree placement.
Just wonderful. I have a new appreciation for all Plein Air artist! It was nice to meet you in Gettysburg!
What a gorgeous building!! I could so see myself loving living in a place like that. Beautiful work and excellent subject!
One of my favorite farms on the Battlefield (right up there with the Rose Farm), and you have done it beautifully. I just love this, Dianne.
