Quints Jam (Horns) by Bertie Brown

Quints Jam

original drawing on gessoed music manuscript: 9"w x 11 1/2"h

Brass Class

Its a well known fact

That a quintet of brass

Is hard to beat

In terms of class.

And favorite things

Are not much better

Not chocolate or cheese cake

Nor lobster or steak

Not mountains or beaches

Nor clear spring-fed lakes

Not cool drinks in summer

Nor hot drinks in winter

Not even sun-showers

That grow my sunflowers

The one thing that’s better

Than a classy quintet

Would certainly be

A French Horn Octet...

I like this one best. Just the movement around the page... can't wait to see more.

I love the ghost like figures.

Have to say that this is now my new favorite. I was thinking the figures looked ghost-like as well. With the music peeking through the gesso, there is a ghostly cohesion that is just fabulous, Bertie!

This is wonderful Bertie! I like the use of the music sheet and the instruments are in focus!
