The Peekaboo Ballerina~by Linda Young

The Peekaboo Ballerina
23-1/8 x 18"
Watercolor by Linda Young
Private collection

This is my great niece, Lauren when she was about a year and a half old, playing "Peek-a-boo" with the sheer curtains. Sitting on the window sill of her home, the sunlight was coming in and illuminated her tutu and the room glowed. A picture just had to be taken of her and then the painting naturally followed. Lauren will be two in April.

This painting will be on exhibit at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center in May 7.

So dear--brings back so many memories of my children and grandchildren at the window seat in our dining room.
