WINTER LOVERS
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Winter Lovers'
Oil 5 x 7

What a perfect day to be working on a snowscene.
We're in the middle of a major snowstorm, and
I am snowed in and painting to my heart's content!
This painting is from Petra Lange's Painting
There are English instructions, and she has provided a
great photograph!

If you would like to see more of my work,
please check out my website and my blog.
Thank you!

This snow scene is lovely, Claire...peaceful and dreamy....I am, however, weary of snow and winter and we still have much more winter to endure, I'm afraid.....

Bertie, the peaceful, dreaminess you describe, which this painting does portray, is why snow is to be embraced -- after the snow has stopped, stand outside in it, see the moonlight dance on the white ground, listen to the silence, feel the coolness on your face and touch the soft flakes. Then go inside and paint a snowy scene. You'll be truly inspired.

Reminds me of s'Hertogenbosch, The Ntherlands, when I worked there as an Ex-Pat. The distant skyline is fabulous- especially on the size you are working in.

What a wonderful scene. It looks like Harrisburg along the Susquehanna.

Thanks, everyone. Petra is from Germany, so I would imagine this photograph is from somewhere in Europe.

The more that I see this painting, the more I enjoy seeing the warmth of those 2 in love in the midst of that cold winter day. A nice Valentine painting.
