"Morning at the Vineyard" was painted plein air at Hunters' Valley Winery in Liverpool, Pa. The grapes were almost ready for picking. How beautiful! Oh to sit under this arbor with a glass of merlot, just enjoy the vines and the beauty...

On the day Hunter's Valley Winery hosted us artists, there was a wine tasting. Needless to say a few bottles of their liquid grapes make it home with us.

Absolutely, Maria, Pat...those colors just invite me right into this scene. Bet those grapes made some wonderful wines....

The cool morning colors in this really set off the warmer colors in the grape leaves, making for such a nicely balanced painting. I hope I can participate this coming year!
