Memories of Maine Series
EAST POND SHORELINE
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'East Pond Shoreline'
Oil 22 x 28

Finished! It took me awhile to get back to this
painting because of other projects, but I finally
was able to get it done. Will set it aside for a couple of
weeks, then take another look with fresh eyes to
see if I need to do any glazing, or bringing up
some more highlights.

If you would like to see more of my work,
please check out my website or my blog. Thanks!

I like the colors you used in the tree trunks going back and the lovely reflections of the leaves on the water. Lots of warmth.

This really turned out nicely, Claire. Great atmosphere. I like the depth that you get in your foliage and the use of red in the leaves.

Claire, this is a fantastic painting. It really feels good to finish a painting you worked hard on. Sometimes I get stuck on the finish.
