"Koi Pond" by Tatiana Myers.

"Koi Pond" by Tatiana Myers. Oil Pastel.
8 x 10" framed size 11x14"
Ampersand Clay Board.
This painting I started last summer with full intentions to have it as one of my show entries to Annual Oil Pastel Society show... Then I got a feeling that I will not be able to finish it on time and decided to pass it with the show. In fact painting took much more time then in my very worst expectations and didn't go easy at all. I'm happy that after more then 6 month of working on it off and on I can say to myself, I finally like it, it is finished.

So worth the effort and discipline to keep going to completion, Tatiana. A winner!

Hey- Fish are my Thing!

Beautiful Tatiana, especially the scales and the lip of the lily pad. I also like the shadowing under the fish.

Thank You, Jack!
Thank You, Bertie!..

Thom!... I know fish are your thing, but I started working on this one BEFORE I even know you!.. So don't blame me in stealing of your subject! :-)
Scales were a night mare. But all that pebbles on the bottom of pool are even worse.
I'm so glad I'm done with it!.. :-)

Wonderful painting, Tatiana. It has a terrific vantage point, and the colors are stunning.
