Swan Lake by Linda Young

Swan Lake
4-1/4" x 6-1/4"
Watercolor

#4 of the Small works paintings. This was at a golf course in South Carolina where this swan seemed quite content at having the entire small pond all to itself (except for the sleeping allegators). Except for a small ripple, the water was so smooth; the swan seemed to be sitting on a mirror.

This is so serene, and your greens are lovely.

What a gorgeous pond with its lush greenery! I think I fear for the swan knowing 'gators were lurking!

I am drawn to the reflections and ripples on the water. Lovely!

I love water and reflections here... Almost making your feel like bird is moving and water is moving too... Nice!

Thank you. About the green...Consider when I FIRST BEGAN painting, green to me then was green right out of the tube! It's a totally different thing now. (Thank goodness)
