"Farm Show" by Debra Tritt-Kreiger

"Farm Show" 10"x14" Watercolor
on Arches 140lb paper

It's that time of year! I thought it would be a good choice to post this painting since the Pennsylvania State Farm Show in Harrisburg starts Saturday. I just love to walk the show and get a real close up and personal view of all the farm animals, people and food. It was lunch time and these fellows were very hungry!

This is very sweet, Deb -- a lot of warmth. And how interesting to me that the farm show is held in the winter! Being from Ohio originally, I don't believe I've ever known of a farm show in my home state to be held in the winter. Kind of a nice idea, though -- it would give you a little taste of spring!

Their faces are so sweet - this sure brings back great memories of the Farm Show!

Amy, The farm show is in its' 94th year. There is a building in Harrisburg called the farm show building, which I suppose was built for that purpose. I'm guessing it has been held in the winter because that is when the farmers had a little down time. (I'll have to research that) It has a long history in PA.
Isn't it funny how sweet cows can look!
