"Early Snow 2" is an oil on a linen covered panel sized 8" x 10". This is the forth in my series of winter painting studies. My studies are beginning to reflect the thicker paint quality of my large format painting. Check out my new Large Format Paintings blog that features the current large format painting I'm working on.

The simplicity and starkness of this scene coupled with pastel colors makes a great artistic statement. In other words- I love it.

Jack, I really admire the abstract nature of your work. I so often struggle with keeping things simple in my own work. And a very nice winter feel to this one.
