BLACKWATER FALLS
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Blackwater Falls'
Oil 24 x 30
This is a painting I did as a result of a camping trip
to Blackwater Falls in West Virginia. It had just
rained, but even though it was still cloudy and
damp there were beautiful colors in the rocks and
water.

I can hear the water, Claire! You've captured the essence of the atmosphere and it makes me feel like I am there.

Beautiful colors!

This is so beautiful, Claire. Those deep and mystic greens are amazing and the colors in the water...so perfect for giving that look of rushing and falling water!

I love to explore nature and this makes me wonder what is upstream. Simply gorgeous Claire.

It looks like a place I want to visit on a sunny, warm day in May. Lovely painting!

I recognized the spot immediately, Claire -- a student of mine did a piece of the same spot, some years ago. Beautiful job!
