Susquehanna River from Fort Hunter by Mary Beth Brath

Susquehanna River from Fort Hunter, acrylic 4" x 6" mini

Hello Everyone and Happy Holidays!!!
This plein air painting was created in September 2009 along the beautiful Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania. It was one of those perfect days of weather that we so wish would last forever. We had a large group of artists out that day and we all had such a great time. This painting will be available through Gallerie 13 in Mechanicsburg during the month of December as part of the Mini Art Group Show. All works must be under 36 sq. inches. The painting is framed and ready to give as a Christmas gift for $75. Opening reception is this Friday, December 4th from 6 to 9pm. Enjoy live music and refreshments. Many of the Daily Painters of Pennsylvania will be present. If you are thinking of joining the blog, this is a great opportunity to meet other authors.

You've captured the beauty of the day. I remember I couldn't join you all out painting that day and what a perfect painting day it would have been. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Hi Mary Beth. I'm enjoying seeing all the paintings. I especially like hearing the inspirations and techniques. This is a really nice painting. Plein air painting is special.

I have another painting that I blocked in on this day and I will be working on it soon in the studio. I will post that painting when it is completed.
