Summer Hay
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Summer Hay'
6" X 8"
Oil on Archival Canvas Panel
SOLD

This is a plein air painting I completed on site this summer of some wonderful bales of hay that were resting in a field just waiting to be painted. It was a gorgeous, sunny day and my goal with the painting was to capture the strong sunlight.

Claire, I must say that I am now in awe of the hay bale's beauty, really. I've seen several paintings by various artists...somehow I'm coming to feel the loneliness of them. Is that a weird statement? At any rate, you've done this landscape beautifully and I love the distant trees as well as those closer up...Another harvest season at an end.

My wife and I love this painting. I admire the art of working in Plein Air. Due to health I am limited to working in a studio. I will enjoy following your work on Daly Painters Of PA.
