Landscape Commission - Step 4 by Claire Beadon Carnell
Working along, playing the lights and darks against each other so that I can keep the look of dappled sunlight. I am itching to start painting in the wildflowers, but I have to exert some patience...not always an easy thing for me to do!
This has been very interesting to be able to get an inside look at your creative process. I totally understand how hard it is to have patience regarding the flowers and look forward to seeing the finished piece.
I've only recent found your place to post, Claire, so I've missed the process. But I just really want to live here! A gorgeous place and it just looks like HOME to me. Sigh...
Thank you, Mary Beth. It is so hard to save the important details for last! I am hoping to have this piece done by the end of this week, so I don't have long to wait...
Thank you AutumnLeaves! I couldn't have gotten a nicer compliment, and I hope that the people who are getting the painting will feel how much I was trying to represent their place of 'home'.
