Merry Christmas!
While living in a Civil War Era farmhouse (built in 1864) in Geauga County Ohio, this was the morning view from my living room. The snow would start around Thanksgiving and continue through mid March. We lived there for 8 years and always had a White Christmas. Our family is so happy to see a White Christmas this year in Cumberland County Pennsylvania. I am taking many pictures to work on winter scenes in the studio over the next months.

What a gorgeous view to encounter each winter day. Can't wait to see your paintings from the photographs you have taken of the recent snow. It was one of the best gifts I got for Christmas!

Wow, Mary Beth, how did I miss this one. I love the way you darkened the snow in the foreground, which really popped that light in your midground. That was Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot's little trick to lead the viewer's eye to the middle ground. I love it.
