Clematis by Linda Young (resubmitted)

My husband scanned this for me and it shows the colors and whites much better than I got by photographing the painting (see earlier post today). I guess I'm going to have to scan the small works rather than capture on the digital camera. Memorial #5

It was difficult in photographing the finished painting to capture the icy blue of this clematis. It's in the painting but the white balance didn't cooperate with me.  Everyone who saw this climber in full bloom commented on it's beauty and how many more blossoms it had this year than any other.  A few remain near the middle of the plant; but the top sure took a beating.

I am using scrap pieces of old watercolor paintings to do the flower "memorials".  This one was part of a sky and I used it as the "start" for this piece which already had hints of the clematis in it.  Unfortunately, the whites don't show up very well in the digital photo to show the sunlight on the petals.
