owners.
There is always a story
behind every painting. This painting evolved during a plein air painting
trip on the Gettysburg Battlefield. He perched himself on top of an
apple tree nearby and just gave us the dickens the whole time we were
painting! I knew I would paint him later in the studio so I took careful
notes and pictures to help the painting develop. I chuckle every time I
see this painting just thinking about that day!
