Iris #10 Original Art Floral Painting by Mary Beth Brath - Daily Painter of Pennsylvania
Iris #10 by Mary Beth Brath
8x10" Acrylic on Panel
Iris #10 includes more action in the background than the other paintings in the series. I changed the colors a few times and am quite pleased with the final result.
This is a really neat style for you, Mary Beth. I like the fluid treatment you've used and the composition formed by the shapes. It feels Art Deco to me - nice one!

Once again - love the style and I believe You have very successful series of those Irises. perhaps some poppies next or something like that?...
I love Art Deco Dianne. There are many influences in the style and they are all from the late 1800s to Early 1900s.
Tatiana - my next series is on mushrooms/fungus. Tax season has kept my brush dry over the past week but I do have the first one sketched.
