Field Path 12 x 9 oil en plein air, Jill Peckelun

This is the entrance to a field next to a busy intersection.  There was a gravel pull off alongside the road for me to park and set up.  Such bucolic peace adjacent to the hub bub of modern life.  It made for a visual respite.  And after a bit I found I was able to somehow hear the crickets instead of the traffic.

The planes of color on the road and tree remind me of Cezanne when his paintings took on a cubistic look.
