Back from Pastel workshop with Bill Creevy.

"Reflections", 9 x 12"
Pastel on Multi-media artboard.

This weekend painters from Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society had a great opportunity to study
with one of the most innovative pastel-gurus - Bill Creevy.
Technically, workshop was supposed to be dedicated to Contemporary Still Life.
In all actuality we got to work on all sorts of subjects and try all sorts of things - different techniques, different support, different solvents... I personally spend most of time applying layering techniques
to landscape, rather then Still Life. This is one of my paintings. It was started and mostly finished during workshop without reference photo, just by memory, because I have painted this place before and had pretty good idea about how it look like. Below - close-up on detail of painting.
We had wonderful time and discovered many new things. I'm looking forward to use what I learned..
