Spring Fields, oil plein air by Jill Peckelun

Spring Fields

I love the direct rock 'em, sock 'em approach to this piece.  It's bold and gutsy and a nice little start to plein air painting in springtime.  The beautiful colors of the new crops, a gunmetal sky with a white streak, and a steely pond reflection were my inspirations.  It was still cool enough for my parka, but I was feeling the warmth of the day's vivacity.

Hi, I think your right. The lights of spring are very special. The painting is wonderful. Bye Lilian
