Up For Auction! by Larry Lerew

This painting completed in my studio is my interpretation of the Pennsylvania Monument on the Gettysburg Battlefield. I love the color in this piece. Other than a few brush slings here and their I pretty much painted this entire painting with a old expired plastic club card from AAA. It's like palette knife painting only different!

I will be submiting this my newest painting to the Sixteenth Annual Art Auction to benefit the Land Conservancy of Adams County to be held Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Blue Parrot Bistro, 35 Chambersburg Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Cons...ervancy's website: www.LCACnet.org A wine and cheese reception will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, to open the show and celebrate the artists. The reception will coincide with Gettysburg's First Friday events.

Great painting, Larry! I have heard of this technique - I believe it is called fracturing. Someone is going to be thrilled when they win this piece!

Thanks for the kind comments friends. Can't wait to get outside
