Mourning Dove Mother
This is a studio piece done from a photo I'd taken during warmer days. Mourning Doves make messy abstract nests of twigs- its amazing they hold together. I tried to keep that feeling in my brushwork. The painting is done on Arches oil painting paper- a very handy support needing no prep work.
