Snow Days, oil painting by Jill Peckelun

Forty degrees in February and a sunny day with snow on the ground.  I just had to get out to paint on a day like that.  I love the high curve of the road that we can't really see and the way it winds into the depth of the dark woods where there's sure to be blue skies ahead.

What a delicious style! Love it! Forty degrees sounds warm - of course, for February - and I can take a nice brisk walk in that. But I'm such a weather wimp, I would not last standing still and painting.Good for you and great painting!

Hi Jill. Love the colors and atmosphere. I have been wanting to paint a winter seen also. Hopefully before the end of the season I will follow through.
