Snow Day
This is a studio piece worked up from a plein air sketch I did. Appropriately enough I worked on it during a snow fall kind of day. It was such a still quiet cold day. I was enthralled with the tunnel of thick trees and the road passing by me and between the dark trees. I was surprised at how very little white I used for the snow itself- only needed it for the road.

...but interesting to view!
I really like that strip of sunlight shining through - it gives a sense that Spring is right around the corner!
