ANTIQUE ROSES, 12x18, watercolor by Sharon Benner

I don't usually paint in watercolor. Too much planning involved. I approached this floral in my usual loose, heavy handed approach, I even used paint right out of the tube and the highlights on the big roses were achieved with folded sand paper. I'll be putting this in Adams Co. Arts Council's floral show in March.
