SUSPENDED ORCHID, 9x12 Colored Pencil by Sharon Benner

I'm taking a colored pencil class from fellow DDP member artist Charlotte Yealey. She sure makes it look easy, but the process for layering color and working light to dark is really different from oils and pastels. Charlotte says the slow process is relaxing for her. I'm struggling along.

Sharon, I feel you really captured your orchids in your first colored pencil painting. Keep practicing colored pencil, it will get easier all the time.
