Flemish Hibiscus, WIP by Tatiana Myers.

This is my next-to-be-finished Flemish project. It is getting very close to be complete.
I'm planning to do bigger work with two of those flowers and pretty happy with this try-out.
All comes together well, paint is drying on the manner I need it to dry
(perhaps fact that I switched to lead white and got rid of some other slow drying things was helpful).
Next time I'm going to post finished version.

It is neat how you compiled the stages of this painting. I think any one of these stages could stand on it's own as a painting and the composite of all 6 makes a striking image. I know you are going for the full layered Flemish technique and I know the finished product will be beautiful.

Thank You, Julie! It is something new for me to try. I did color over Grisaille before, but never in this order. I think I really like it.
