Striations, 16 x 12" oil en plein air by Jill Peckelun

It was early December when I painted this- very cold, but still with some color on the far trees and in the grasses.  I was attracted to the striations in the grasses, made by the wheels of farm equipment and how it played with the rows of clouds in the sky.  It made for a rock 'em, sock 'em kind of moment for me.

Jill, I, too, like the sense of energy and movement in this painting. Also, love your painterly style.

YOUR BRUSHSTROKES SPEAK..."COLD, BARREN, WINTRY, AND DESERTED." NICE WORK AS ALWAYS, JILL!!!
