Photos From Brooklyn NY Reception at BWAC by Daily Painter of Pennsylvania Mary Beth Brath

The Daily Painters of Pennsylvania at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition
September 22nd, 2012

The DPP exhibit filled an entire row of panels at BWAC. The work was very well received and many contacts were made. I encourage the exhibiting artists to all share their stories here in the comments section.

I will come back to this post and fill in names etc. The show will be taken down this Saturday.

Wish I could have been there - looks like a fantastic show.

Recently, I was interviewed by BWAC docent Janet Rothholz about the work I exhibited, as well as my thoughts and processes as an artist. Janet conducts a monthly walk through the exhibition space talking about different exhibiting artists' work that she has chosen to highlight.

Another plus of having my work up at BWAC is that I was contacted by a couple who attended the exhibit, and they have purchased two paintings from my blog/website!

Deb had many people looking at her work and asking questions. One couple even told us her work was their favorite! Congrats on a wonderful exhibit Deb!

I was so honored to exhibit with the DPP group at BWAC in NYC. Everyone I met was IN LOVE with their ART and it showed!
I made a contact at the reception. This contact e-mailed me and asked me to submit to be a part of a show next Fall of 2013. The Gallery is in Chelsea, NYC. I really had a Butterflies in the belly moment after that e-mail. I will let Mary Beth know if anything comes of this contact.
I also met a fellow artist who works at BWAC, and we have been in touch through e-mails. We found out that we are both Experimental Mixed Media Artists...so we have lots in common.
I was interviewed over the phone for the walk thru tour, so Janet at BWAC could discuss my artwork, and how it was created. So COOL!
This just goes to show the truth in something Mary Beth said..."Sometimes you need to be a little fish in a big fishbowl."
THANKS so much for this opportunity, Mary Beth!
