Evening Walk, by Dianne Lorden

Here is the pastel first I posted a few days ago, now finished. The scene, again, is just down hill from Barlow's Knoll (Gettysburg National Military Park), late in the day. The fencing is part of the Old Alms House Cemetery, although the graves are not in this view. What I liked was the sky and the distant woods, also the shadows in the foreground. It's a beautiful place to walk late in the day, no matter what time of year, because the views of the sky are expansive. Great sunsets here, too.
My fine art website is South Mountain Sketchbook.

Very interesting light Dianne. We should plan a trip to the battlefields with the SVPAP for next week and catch some of the colors.
