I have been playing with composition with the last few
still life paintings I have done, and with this one I tried to
push it as far as it would go and still work. I had SO much fun
working on it, and it didn't hurt that it combines
deep pink tulips in one of my favorite vases - a
Fenton Cranberry Opalescent hobnail.

Love the unique composition Claire - very dramatic! The tulips are beautifully painted as well.
