Oil Pastel "Illuminated" and more news from Tatiana Myers

Well... correction!.. Sorry for re-posting the same thing twice, but I have another announcement to make
Here we go...

1) Yesterday I found out that my latest floral Oil Pastel "Illuminated" was accepted into the ALLIED ARTISTS OF AMERICA, INC. 99-th annual exhibition.
Show will ran from November 9 to November 18 2012 @ National Art Club Galleries, NYC.
Artists reception - Sunday November 18.

2) Today I found out that "Illuminated" was also accepted into The American Artists Professional League
84th Grand National Exhibition 2012
Saturday, October 6th through Sunday, December 30th, 2012.

Normally show #2 will be in Salmagundi Club, NYC, but fortunately for me, this season Salmagundi galleries were under reconstruction, therefore Grand National will be online show... what gives perfect opportunity for one the same painting to be shown at both venues at the same time.
Very unique way to show, thank You to Internet!

And those were all my news... for now.

I'm "showing off" for the good cause, Jill! :-)
It is harder to get Oil Pastels accepted to the high-end shows compare to many (should I say "any"?) other mediums... lots of confusion about it. Some shows don't take it at all. Some what to see it in "pastel" category, some in "Oil" category. Pastel people don't want to have anything with it and tell : "This is NO pastels".
Sometimes we offered to show it in mixed media together with collage and things like that... Therefore every time when one of oil pastels artists gets into something significant... it is a reason for whole our Society to celebrate a good team work. Therefore I absolutely have to show off, because more people is aware of the medium, better it is for all painters who likes to work with it... kind of the same situation how it was with soft pastels at beginning of promoting of medium in United States. OK... I'm done with my speech now! :-)
