Ashcombe Sunflowers, by Linda Young

Ashcomb Sunflowers, watercolor by Linda Young
9 x 12"

This painting of sunflowers was done mostly on location at the Ashcomb Farm; the darkest detailing was completed in the studio.

The underpainting was from a something I started this summer at the Camp Hill Plein Air Festival; it began as a landscape with a bridge, stream and trees running through it.  I know where it was; but it is now invisible.

This painting is really loose, fresh and interesting to view. I love the clean and clear color and the sence of depth.

A REAL Beauty of a painting! It's light and airy.

Thank you Sue, Mary Beth, Larry and Cecelia. One thing I didn't do was put those tons of bees in this one. I thought about it but couldn't get one to hold still long enough! lol
