Wall Flowers, mixed water media collage by Linda Young

Wall Flowers 9" x 10" Mixed water media collage
Quick Draw "Before"

Using scraps of watercolor paintings that I had laying around, I made something out of the "start" from the Quick Draw at Camp Hill this year.  The painting I did the day of the quick draw needed more work and I decided I'd use this opportunity to try something new. This is my first attempt to create a painting with old paintings and I don't even know if the "mixed water media collage" is the right name for what I did.  All that is certain, it was created totally from my watercolor paintings and the collage has acrylic sealer used as the "glue" to keep them in place.

I enjoyed reading your post...Collage and watercolor is a unique mix! I think you should do more mixed media!

Linda, I love how you used your creativity to take the lovely painting you did during the Camp Hill Plein Air Quick Draw and push it to a whole new level - Bravo!

Thank you Sue and Claire. Sue, I have several more that I could do something with. I'll have to get them gathered up and see what happens. Claire, next year I hope to try to get into Camp Hill again.
