Painting Mechanicsburg, PA by Larry Lerew

"Walking Down West Main Street"

You can see these two paintings and more of my Mechanicsburg Series at the Brath & Hughes Fine Art Gallery in Mechanicsburg through the month of September. I am heading out today to paint again on the streets and alleys. I happened to save a lot of white canvas in these paintings. I love to use may acrylic as transparent watercolor washes and also as opaque painterly oils all at rapid speed in one painting. Small towns have a lot to offer, you just have to observe and compose.

If you see me painting on the "Streets" stop and say hi, or toot your horn.

Mechanicsburg does have a lot of charm, but your painting style and the figures you add to your work are even more interesting.
