"Firehouse" by Debra Tritt Kreiger

"Firehouse" 9" x15" watercolor on 140lb Arches paper

This was started plein air and just finished in the studio. This is the Washington Fire House in Mechanicsburg located on Main Street. The guys in the firehouse knew I was painting the building and got me flustered when they opened the garage door! All in fun they closed the doors back up so I could finish. I chose this building to paint because I'm the daughter of a very dedicated fireman, and firemen and women are very proud of their firehouses. I realize as I'm older the sacrifices these men and women make to assure our safety and well being within our communities. A big thank you to all!

You can view and purchase this painting at Brath & Hughes Gallery, 41 W. Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA in the month of September. To see more of my work go to www.debkreiger.com or follow my blog at debkreiger.blogspot.com or you can shop in my store, Deb's Gifts.

You did this firehouse justice...Nice work! I know one of the firefighters at the Washington Fire Co. I showed him your work and he said, " Wow- Cool!"
