'On the Edge'

On this very hot Summer day, it was a perfect time
to work up in my studio (that has AC). Lately I have
been working on some larger pieces,
and this is one of them. I have always had a
thing for hay bales, and then add to that the sky
with all of those puffy clouds - this was a joy to work on!

Wow! This is really great! Love the colors! I was just passing some fields like this on the way home from work filled with those hail bails. Very beautiful!
Claire, I second Michael's Wow. This is a beautiful landscape-love the fluffy clouds and the trees are awesome!
This is such a serene scene and beautifully painted.
I really love the feeling of heat in this. The subtle transition of blue in the sky also works to create depth.
