Continuing on with my study. I've already discovered some mistakes that I have been making with my pencil work. Too late to apply these things to this drawing but will hopefully benefit future works. I've tested a few things on side scrap paper and found some better techniques for my hair and skin. Again, too late for this work.
Quite a bit of work yet to do but I'm well over half way.
12x17, graphite, various artist pencils, acrylic white and pastel on smooth Bristol.

Finished or not, Micheal, this is a beautiful, enchanting portrait--I actually love the unfinished straw hat.
