ROSE OF SHARON

Day 82

I did this painting for the Daily Paintworks 'Nature's Arrangement
Challenge'.  The instruction was to paint some flowers plein air using
a very limited palette of one blue, one red, one yellow and
white.  You were to use only a large, medium and small paintbrush
and you had to stop after painting for one hour and call it
'done'!  This worked out well for me because it also fulfilled
my own '100 Paintings in 100 Days Challenge - Inspirations from a
Back Yard' Challenge, and also provides me with a new
plein air painting to post on the SVPAP blog - and most of
all was just a lot of fun to paint.  Can't ask for better!!!

I love to look out my window and see these flowers. They are my August friends... Nice to hit so many accomplishments with one painting. Oh and nice painting too.

Claire wonderful job. You captured the essence of this flower beautifully. Love your brush strokes and color.
