"Retired Boats" by Taryn Day

oil on paper
5"x7"

I didn't have enough time in Maine!  This is the only painting I was able to make with boats as the subject, but I'm happy with it anyhow. Don't you just love things that come in pairs?

This is really nice Taryn. I love the shapes of the boats and the slash of red!

This is so full of sunlight, Taryn! I share your love of Maine - the quality of light there is incredible.

Wow, I love this. So alive! And I love the contrast in the highlight and shadow areas of the whites of the boats. Maine is such a great place to paint... endless subject matter!
