Painting on gourds

I've been so busy with gourd crafting that painting has taken a holiday - I do miss it! But there are wonderful people waiting for their custom orders, so that's what I've been up to. I thought I'd share some of that work here, rather than remain silent (on the blog). I hope to post paintings again soon, and for sure, the plein air set-up is coming along on vacation with me in only two weeks, so I look forward to some summery posts from that!

Dianne - I can understand why people are looking forward to receiving these painted gourds - how beautiful! How long does it take you to paint one?

Thanks for your interest in these; I know they're not the usual! They take a couple of weeks for me to make because of the different stages, drying time, etc. I don't usually paint them to this extent, but rather illustrate them using a wood burner, so this one was a departure. In either case, they take several sessions to illustrate - each is different.
