Head and Toes Flamingo Watercolor by Kathy Michels
This little flamingo was having a blast in the water. I took this picture at Silver Springs Attraction in Florida. There are lots of wonderful animals to see and the glass bottom boats to ride.
Kathy, I really like this perspective. I love painting flamingo. I painted one from Florida that was a soft pink color and everyone kept asking me what kind of bird is it. Then I was told that their feather coloring can be lighter or darker depending on the amount of shrimp and krill they are fed.
Very unusual compositing, Kathy! I truly like it, especially after I observed whole bunch of those bright birds in Philadelphia ZOO. You can literally watch them for hours turning around and playing with water. Well done!

I like the colors used in the flamingo... we were just at the Pittsburgh zoo today and I took some photos of the flamingos.
Such a wonderfully unique and playful way to present the flamingo, Kathy. Love this one!
