Moon Mini, Dianne Lorden

Here's yet another mini in colored pencil on Bristol. The heat has perflunked me. Maybe that's why I'm working small! This is part of a project I've been slowly putting together for some time.
My work can be seen at South Mountain Sketchbook

We would always sing in the car when we were children (made the trips go by so much quicker), and when we were travelling at night, one of our favorites was a song about the moon:

I see the moon;
the moon sees me
Down through the leaves of the old oak tree.
Please let the light that shines on me
Shine on the one I love.

Just seeing your little gem of a painting brought back many good memories!

So beautiful, truly!

Wow, I remember that! I learned it as:
-I see the Moon and the Moon sees me; God bless the Moon and God bless me.-
That's all we ever said. I thought it was sweet and funny. Thanks for that memory!
