Wow, Linda -- congratulations! This is an absolutely gorgeous painting. Makes me wish I'd remembered to start some poppies this year, and makes me think of my own mother and how much she enjoyed her flowers. Fantastic job.

So nice, Linda. The composition and the poses of the poppies, some facing us, some not, bent over and srtaight, all contribute to the livliness of this painting.

Amy, I planted some poppies but they are really struggling to survive in this heat; the poppies I painted here have been weed-whacked down. My brother didn't know the green plant was a flower. No flower appeared this year.
